Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay born September 15, 1915 was a native of Ogden Utah. She was a member of the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay was able to direct her innovative literary talents and remarkable research skills to creating an outstanding psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. The book was titled No Man Knows My History. The title comes from the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith who was the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. The preacher shocked the audience when he said telling his audience: "You don't even know my name. You have never known my heart." My history is unknown to any one. The truth is, I don't know. Wrote the 29-year old Fawn in the moment when he spoke, about three dozen writers have jumped on the challenge. Many have mocked and denigrated the man, and others attempt to identify the problem. It isn't that there aren't enough documents however they're wildly inconsistent. In order to assemble these documents- to separate first hand sources from a third-party plagiarism and to then put Mormon and non Mormon narratives together into a reliable mosaic isn't an easy task. is exciting and enlightening. FawnBrodie took on this professional project with gusto and enthusiasm. Thaddeus Stewards was the outcome from her writing and study, made her a world known writer. "The Devil's Drive" (1959) The Southern Scourge. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon and An Intimate Historiography (1974).
