Emily Bett Rickards, born on the 24th of July 1991 in Canada, is an Canadian actor who is best famous for her character Felicity Smoak in The CW TV series Arrow. Rickards is an British Columbia native. She started her career in acting in the early years of her life by studying musical theatre, dance and various forms of entertainment. When she graduated early from high school She enrolled in Vancouver Film School and completed the Acting Essentials course. The audition was an open audition after having completed her course. The audition resulted in her being hired with an agent. Alida Vocal Studio, Vancouver is where she studied. Originally, she was signed as a one-episode guest star, her chemistry with the show's star Stephen Amell coupled with positive fan reaction as well as her sarcastic quips led to her first signing as a co-star on recurring basis for the remainder of the initial season.
